This course will focus very much on the core learning in the spring and summer terms of Y2 to prepare pupils for Y3.

The mathematics curriculum in Y5 is significantly more demanding than in Y4, with some big jumps in learning. This course will help you secure these and give support with the core in Y5 to be ready for Y6.

This is an opportunity to reflect on what you currently do for maths moderation and consider what is best practice and what is a good evidence base to make judgements.

Eligibility: This course is open to schools in the Bath, Bristol, Gloucestershire or South Gloucestershire areas.
This course is open to any infant, junior or primary school who have a focus on problem solving and reasoning this year as part of their SDP. We are looking for a group of 8 to 10 schools based in Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire or South Gloucestershire to join the project.
