Eligibility: This course is open to any Y3 & Y4 teachers or Y3 & Y4 teaching assistants from any school.
Pupils find fractions and decimals difficult, and it is not the easiest of topics to teach and engage pupils with, especially to those who are not secure with the KS1 curriculum.
This half day, online course will support you with the unpicking the core building blocks, give you strategies and practical tips to engage pupils including those with SEND. It will suggest ways to support recall and retention and how to revisit fractions and decimals through other aspects of the maths curriculum. Even though this is an online session it will be practical and hands-on.
