This 45-minute online staff meeting will support you as a school to bring more fun and engagement into the teaching of number bonds and times tables.
It will be practical hands-on staff meeting where you will play games and look at how you can adapt them for all learners to ensure access for both SEND and challenge for the higher attainers. You may consider how you could use the games for intervention, early morning skills practice or within lessons to engage retrieval or hook learners in.
The staff meeting will look at how the use of online manipulatives can be used, as we often don’t have dice or dominoes in school that allow challenge.
The final part of the staff meeting will share ideas of how you could support parents to engage pupils at home offline as well as online for recall of number bonds and times tables. As a result of this course, you will have knowledge and skills in the following areas:
To enable pupils to independently practice times table and number bonds and retrieval.
To review how games using dice, dominoes, playing cards and Lego can support learning and for intervention.
To use games to support home learning and support parents with this.
