Eligibility: This course is open to teachers or teaching assistants in KS1 from any school.
This half day, online course will look at the core building blocks to make your pupils secure with multiplication, division and fractions and how to then make the links to money and time for pupils. It will give you strategies and practical tips to engage pupils including those with SEND. It will suggest ways to support recall and retention and how to revisit multiplication, division and fractions through other aspects of the maths curriculum. Even though this is an online session it will be practical and hands-on. It is essential that KS1 pupils are secure with these topics of maths as they are core to the deepening of fractions with the KS2 curriculum.
