We’ve made the following videos to support you to learn some of the key features on this new site:
How to register an account (2 minutes 38 seconds):We've also created a Learning and Development Hub User Guide that covers the following topics:
You can view all our courses without an account but will require an account to book places on training courses or access our e-modules.
All external customers can register for an account on the Learning and Development Hub. Use your email address as your username and complete the forms required, you’ll then be able to log in and book training.
If your organisation isn’t available or you are unsure of which organisation you should register with, then please email training@southglos.gov.uk and provide us with the name, address, main contact telephone number and email address for the organisation. We can then arrange to set up your establishment on the website for your staff to book training.
If you need to contact us you can email our teams' shared mailbox training@southglos.gov.uk or if you know the team who host the courses or events you are interested in, you can contact them directly using the following details:
To help us to make our learning courses and events as accessible to you as possible, please make sure that your training requirements are kept up to date in your profile. Temporary adjustments that may need or updates can be added each time you book. For more information visit our guide to training requirements and reasonable adjustments.
Find a course using the search function or categories on the homepage. At the bottom of the course overview page there will be a box that says ‘View and choose course dates’. This next page provides details of dates, locations and the method of delivery.
Some courses are available only to particular groups of internal and external customers and some are available to anyone who would consider the training relevant to them. We provide guidance on this in our eligibility statements on course summaries. If you are interested in a course, then checking if you can sign up is another way you can check whether you are eligible, and if this course is available to you.
When you sign up, the Learning and Development Hub can identify who you are, if you are eligible for the course and whether you’ll need to pay for your place.
There are two reasons for this. Not all courses are available to all customers, so, if you don’t see a sign-up option, it could be you’re not eligible to attend the course. Alternatively, you may have previously signed up and not yet booked your date. By going to “View and choose course dates” it will indicate if you can book and therefore were already signed up.
Due to technical requirements, we will launch in two phases. We will go live without pre-payment and will be adding this feature in the coming months. Initially we will invoice you for your attendance or last-minute cancellations following an event.
In phase two all courses that have a charge can be purchased through Gov.pay at the point of booking. When you book a place, you will be taken to a payment page where you can enter your credit card details or voucher code. If you are a South Gloucestershire Council member of staff your training place is usually fully funded. When this is not the case, we will internally recharge your team’s training cost code for your attendance. If you have any difficulties paying for courses, please email training@southglos.gov.uk
This safeguarding training is provided by the South Gloucestershire Children's Partnership and the Safeguarding Adults Board. You can access this e-learning via another website - Enable. If you are a South Gloucestershire Council member of staff, you will receive an email as a new starter with the links to this site.
If you are from an external organisation, then you will need to register on this site - Enable.

The calendar invite comes as an attachment to the booking confirmation email that you can then open and add to your calendar.
