Curriculum

Eligibility: This course is open to South Gloucestershire Early Years Settings and Schools.

This virtual one hour session looks at the NSPCC's Talk PANTS with Makaton.  This programme helps children with communication differences to stay safe from abuse and promotes safeguarding practice.  Using Makaton symbols and signs, it teaches the five key rules.  

Eligibility: This course is open to South Gloucestershire Early Years Settings and Schools.

This virtual one hour briefing session invites all South Gloucestershire Early Years and School staff to explore becoming Makaton Aware or Makaton Friendly.  We will share information on how to create inclusive learning environments that support communication needs, foster understanding, and ensure all children feel seen, heard, listened to and valued.

Eligibility: This course is open to South Gloucestershire Early Years Language Champions only.

This in-person 1.5 hour session is open to all settings who have had one or more practitioners attend the South Gloucestershire Language Champion training.  This session will focus on supporting language in your wider curriculum.
