Bitesize - Information Sharing
This course covers the seven golden rules for information sharing, relevant legislation, how to have confidence when sharing, case examples, and guidelines on consent and when not to share information.

Bitesize - MARAC
This course is for anyone who would like an overview of the MARAC process. Topics covered include building an understanding of MARAC, how to refer, and the roles of each person attending the MARAC.

Bitesize - Thresholds
This one-hour multi-agency session provides valuable information about local services and guidance on how and when to refer. It’s based on the threshold guidance ‘The right help in the right way at the right time’.

Bitesize Learning: Self Neglect
This 45-minute workshop from the South Gloucestershire Safeguarding Adults Board is for practitioners from all agencies working with adults in South Gloucestershire. Based on learning from local safeguarding adult reviews and local practice guidance this is a practical learning session.

Domestic Abuse
This 1.75-day course is for practitioners from all organisations across South Gloucestershire. It promotes effective multi-agency working and a key focus is on person/child-centred practice to promote positive outcomes for people who are affected by domestic abuse.

Effective Multi-Agency Working in Adult Safeguarding
This course focuses on the importance of effective multi-agency working and best practice in adult safeguarding. We recommend that you complete the Raising Safeguarding Concerns course before you attend this course.

Exploitation of Adults
This one-day course explores adult exploitation and how to identify the different forms it may take. Exploitation can affect different people in various ways. The course will highlight signs of exploitation and what you can do to help, or minimise the risk, or experience of abuse.

Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery
Would you know how to spot the signs of human trafficking and modern slavery? It exists in our communities. This training will help you to identify the signs, understand your duties, learn how to respond and support the people you work with.

Attendees will explore the ‘What, Why and How’ of professional curiosity., with discussion of the barriers to being curious, challenging and courageous, identify ways to overcome them, and consider how to embed this approach into practice.

Raising Safeguarding Concerns - Adults
This half day course is essential training for front-line practitioners who work with and provide services to adults at risk. It will equip participants with an understanding of what safeguarding adults is, recognising an adult at risk, and how to take relevant action.

Recognising and Responding to Organisational Abuse and Neglect
This course is for anyone who leads and/or reviews partner organisations and has attended the Raising Safeguarding Concerns course. It will help you understand and be accountable for managing and preventing organisational abuse in services.

Signs of Safety Awareness for Partners
In South Gloucestershire, Signs of Safety is our Practice model. This three-hour session is for those not directly using the approach with children or families but needing an understanding of the practice and our relationship and strengths-based work with families.

The Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
This two-day course helps practitioners from health and social care carrying out Mental Capacity Act assessments to confidently apply the principles of Best Interest Decision making and identify where there is a deprivation of liberty.
