Topic outline

  • The practice education training programme is for Social Workers who will be working with a Social Work Learner. This might be an apprentice, student or newly qualified social worker (NQSW) undertaking their assessed supported year in employment (ASYE).

Social Workers must be two years qualified when placements for learners begin. For example you can begin your practice educator training prior to being two years qualified but will not work with a learner until you have been qualified for two years.

Participants will be required to work towards the Practice Educator Professional Standards (PEPS).

Further information about Practice Education and PEPS can be found on the Practice Education Sharepoint page
