This is the first day of our comprehensive four-day course designed for Trainee Practice Educators. This course is tailored for Social Workers who have been post-qualified for at least two years, are working at the Experienced level of the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) and have received approval to provide a placement within their team.
Day one focus: setting up and organising placements.
Throughout the day, we will explore the essentials of Practice Education and what brings you to this important and rewarding role. You will learn how to effectively set up, arrange, and organise placements for learners. We will explore your motivations for entering Practice Education and guide you through the preparation of your team and placement environment. Additionally, we will discuss strategies for building a strong, supportive relationship with your student.
We will cover understanding the values integral to Practice Education and crafting a tailored induction programme that meets the unique learning needs and experience of your student.

The charge for the course is £100, however you may be entitled to a reduced rate, or fully funded place depending on what organisation you work for.
