Eligibility: This course is open to English subject leaders from any infant, junior or primary school.
This collaborative group will make it easier for English leaders and English enthusiasts to develop their expertise, deepen their subject knowledge, and shape ambitious English provision back in school.
Three high-quality, online, two hour sessions will connect colleagues; explore key publications; promote critical professional dialogue and share practical approaches to leading English. Sessions will be active and require a working microphone and camera. Some pre-reading will be suggested ahead of each session to support meaningful engagement and shared learning. Sessions may change to take account of national or local updates and will expand from the following:

Reading and writing across the curriculum

Session 3:
Supporting pupils with greater needs, in English
School development focus: EVALUATE and SUSTAIN
As a result of this course, you will have knowledge and skills in the following areas:
Support English leaders to stay up to date
Develop expertise through professional reading, dialogue, and engagement
Foster a collaborative network of English leaders
Invite questions and shared problem-solving.
