• Course overview

    Eligibility:  This course is open to any practising or newly qualified ELSA within South Glos local authority or close surrounding areas.  These are generally TAs within schools who have accessed ELSA training and attend ELSA supervision.  This includes newly qualified ELSAs who have not 'graduated' yet. 

    This one day conference will cover a range of highly relevant topics to ELSAs' everyday work, as well as give them an opportunity to network with colleagues. Topics planned include:

    • Anxiety
    • ACES
    • Primary EBSA
    • Adolescence
    • ELSA wellbeing

    We will also have a number of local organisations and agencies attending to support wider networking and help ELSAs make links with the local community.

     

    Learning outcomes

    As a result of this course, you will have knowledge and skills in the following areas:

    • Anxiety and ACES and how to support this within ELSA work
    • Supporting Primary Based EBSA
    • Adolescence and the ELSA role
    • Awareness of how other ELSAs are working in the area and time to network
    • Looking after your own wellbeing

    Charges

    The charge for this course or event is: £60

    If this course has a cost for your school and a booking is made, we will charge via school statements or invoicing in the usual way. However, once GovPay goes live on the site in the next few months you will be asked to pay upon sign up, using a credit or debit card.
