Eligibility: This course is open to Early Years settings and schools.
This is a 3 day accredited course alongside structured self-directed study. The Level 2 Curriculum Based Outdoor Learning Practitioner qualification equips educators with the skills and confidence to take learning beyond the classroom. Participants will plan and deliver at least two outdoor sessions within six months, applying their learning in real settings.
The course provides a practical and supportive pathway to developing engaging outdoor learning experiences, linked to your curriculum and children’s individual needs.
Throughout the course, you will explore the principles, benefits, and challenges of outdoor education, gaining insight into its role in modern teaching. You’ll learn how to design and deliver seasonal, curriculum-linked activities while engaging staff, children, and families in the process. The course also focuses on developing and enhancing outdoor learning environments, helping you make the most of your school or setting grounds and local area. In addition, you will build awareness of local wildlife, sustainable practice and how it can enrich learning experiences, supporting a well-rounded and inspiring outdoor education programme.
You will have a portfolio of work to complete within 4 months of the training
