    Course overview

    Eligibility: This course is open to Early Years Settings, Childminders , Reception and Nursery Class Teachers in South Gloucestershire only.

    These one hour online Early Years SENDCo Networks will be held three times across the academic year.  These networks will provide a supportive and collaborative space for SENDCos, SEN leads, and early years managers and practitioners across South Gloucestershire to come together in response to the current evolving SEND landscape. The network is designed to keep practice current, informed and inclusive by sharing timely national policy updates alongside local authority developments, priorities and pathways. These networks will support you to understand and shape the SEND reforms for early years and provide clarity around expectations of these and how you can develop your provision and workforce to meet the needs of all children, ensuring the best possible outcomes for young children with SEND and their families.

     

    Learning outcomes

    As a result of this course you will have knowledge and skills in the following areas:

    • Receive clear, accessible updates on changes to national SEND guidance, legislation and best practice
    • Understand how local procedures, expectations and support services in South Gloucestershire align with national direction
    • Explore the impact of current changes on early identification, graduated response and inclusive practice in the early years
    • Share experiences, challenges and solutions with peers working in similar roles
    • Build confidence and consistency in the SENDCo role through shared learning and professional dialogue

     

    Charges

    There is a charge of £0 per delegate for this course. 

    If this course has a cost for your setting and a booking is made before 1st September 2026, we will contact you in early September to request payment.  From 1st September 2026 you will be asked to pay via GovPay upon sign up, using a credit or debit card.
