Eligibility: This course is open to anyone meeting the Entry Requirements given below.
This 5 session, face to face course is specifically designed for individuals to achieve their Level 2 Assist at Forest School qualification, developing practical outdoor skills, woodland management expertise, and knowledge of sustainable natural resource use. Participants gain hands-on experience supporting learning and play while effectively assisting a Level 3 Forest School Leader role.
Entry Requirements:
During this course you will discover how to support learning, play, and development in a woodland and outdoor green setting, assist with the sustainable management of your site and develop your own practical skills. It covers four Units of Study at Level 2 and looks in more depth at practical skills, using the woodland as a sustainable resource and the theoretical side of planning for learning and play at Forest School.
You will have a portfolio of work to complete in these areas to support the planning and delivery of a number of sessions.
Please note this course enables you to assist at Forest Schools, and does not qualify you to run Forest Schools Sessions.
This course will run alongside the Level 3 Forest Leaders course. Attendance at session 5 is encouraged but not essential.
