    Course overview

    Eligibility: This network is open to South Gloucestershire Early Years setting managers, SENCos and childminders.

    This one hour session will share up to date local and national SEND information.  The SEND reforms as well as the Best Start Family Hubs offer will be explored.  The Early Years South team offer, including Dingley’s Promise, Educational Psychology, OT, SALT support will be explained.  EYISF and TSF information and processes will also be clarified. South Gloucestershire guidance for Ordinarily Available Provision (OAP) to support inclusion will be shared alongside the SEMH toolkit. The allocation, expectations and monitoring of the new Inclusive early years fund will be explained.

     

    Learning outcomes

    As a result of this course you will have knowledge and skills in the following areas:

    • Knowledge of the local offer and how to access this.
    • Understanding of the local context in Early Years and SEND.
    • Awareness of the SEND reforms proposals and how this links to practice and policy expectations.
    • Attendees will understand how to use the Ordinarily Available Provision document to enhance inclusion in their setting.

     

    Charges

    There is a charge of £0 per delegate for this course.

    This is a funded session for setting managers, SENCOs and Childminders to attend.  

    Funding will be provided for 2 delegates from each setting and for every Childminder.

    If this course has a cost for your setting and a booking is made before 1st September 2026, we will contact you in early September to request payment.  From 1st September 2026 you will be asked to pay via GovPay upon sign up, using a credit or debit card.
