    Course overview



    Eligibility:  This course is open to any practising or newly qualified ELSA within South Glos local authority or close surrounding areas.  These are generally TAs within schools who have accessed ELSA training and attend ELSA supervision.  This includes newly qualified ELSAs who have not 'graduated' yet. 

    This one day conference will cover a range of highly relevant topics to ELSAs everyday work, as well as give them an opportunity to network with colleagues. Topics planned include:

    • Acceptance and Commitment therapy
    • Lego-based interventions
    • Sleep and the ELSA role

    We will also have a number of local organisations and agencies attending to support wider networking and help ELSAs make links with the local community.

    Learning outcomes

    As a result of this course, you will have knowledge and skills in the following areas:

    • Acceptance and Commitment therapy and how to apply this within ELSA work
    • Lego-based interventions
    • Sleep and the ELSA role
    • Awareness of how other ELSAs are working in the area and time to network.
