    Eligibility: This course is open to South Gloucestershire Pre-Schools and Nurseries

    Together we will explore what curriculum and pedagogy mean to you and your practice.  Explore the differences between the two and how they work together to support all children's learning, development and progress within your setting.  The session will encourage you to be confident in creating and developing your own ambitious curriculum suited to your children.


    When you sign up and book your place, for the time being, payment of the course fees will be made through the South Gloucestershire Council website.  Go to www.southglos.gov.uk and click on Pay, then Pay Online.  Scroll down to Other Payments.  You will then see an option to choose Early Years Training.  Select your course from the drop down list and follow the instructions for payment.  You will receive an automated email confirming your payment.  If payment has not been made 7 days prior to the start date your place will be cancelled.

    Learning outcomes

    As a result of this course, you will have knowledge and skills in the following areas:

    • Confidence in describing the difference between curriculum and pedagogy.
    • Building your own bespoke curriculum suited to your cohort.
    • Planning your pedagogical approach for your children.
    • Sharing and imparting knowledge of scaffold learning and how to supports strong curriculum planning.

    Charges

    The cost for this course is £30 for South Gloucestershire delegates.
