Eligibility: This course is open to South Gloucestershire Early Years Practitioners working in Baby Rooms

This two session course explores the latest research and best practice on the unique and vital role of the baby room practitioner in meeting babies' care, learning and safeguarding needs.  A key focus is on the importance of responsive, respectful personal care routines - such as nappy changing, feeding and sleep - recognised as rich opportunities for connection, communication, and learning as well as following the most recent guidance.  Practitioners will gain practical guidance on how to approach these routines with sensitivity and attunement, supporting each baby's wellbeing and emotional security.  The course also creates space for participants to connect with peers, share experiences and exchange ideas.  This peer-to-peer learning approach encourages reflection and builds confidence, ensuring participants leave with practical strategies and a renewed sense of purpose in delivering high-quality, relationships based care.

For the time being, payment of course fees will be made in the usual way through the South Gloucestershire Council website.  Go to www.southglos.gov.uk and click on Pay, then Pay Online.  Scroll down to Other Payments.  You will then see an option to choose Early Years Training.  Select your course from the drop down list and follow the instructions for payment.  You will receive an automated email confirming your payment.  If payment has not been made 7 days prior to the start date your place will be cancelled.
