Eligibility: This course is open to South Gloucestershire Early Years Settings and Schools

This in-person half day session looks at testing limits and learning about boundaries and why these are important for children by providing opportunities for them to explore and challenge themselves in a supportive outdoor environment.  We will consider dynamic risk benefits.  Through observation and discussion, we will explore how you can develop children's critical thinking skills so they can consider their own actions, consequences and skills of risk management.  This helps children to understand simple ways to keep themselves safe and how to navigate those risks safely to develop lifelong learning.

Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for any weather.  We will be outside.  Please be mindful we will be in a setting with children for this session.

For the time being, payment of course fees will be made in the usual way through the South Gloucestershire Council website.  Go to www.southglos.gov.uk and click on Pay, then Pay Online.  Scroll down to Other Payments.  You will then see an option to choose Early Years Training.  Select your course from the drop down list and follow the instructions for payment.  You will receive an automated email confirming your payment.  If payment has not been made 7 days prior to the start date your place will be cancelled.
