Eligibility: This course is open to South Gloucestershire Early Years practitioners and childminders

This one hour webinar introduces the concept of Funds of Knowledge - the rich culture knowledge, skills and experiences that children and families bring with them into early years settings.  Rooted in a strengths-based approach, the session explores how practitioners can recognise, value, and build on these home-based resources to develop stronger, more collaborative partnerships with families.  Participants are encouraged to reflect on how everyday practices can either include or overlook children's lived experiences and identities.  With no expectation to interact, the webinar offers a relaxed space to listen and reflect - alone or as a team.  Through real-life examples, practical suggestions, and a reflective take-away task, the session supports practitioners in embedding inclusive, respectful approaches to family engagement and curriculum design.  Whether you're new to the concept of looking to deepen your practice, this webinar offers thoughtful, accessible professional development that helps make learning more meaningful and connected for every child.
