• Course overview

Eligibility: This course is open to South Gloucestershire Early Years practitioners working in Reception Classes, Nurseries or Pre-School settings and Childminders

This virtual two session course from AET is designed to help participants understanding autism in young children.  It explores how autism affects early development, including social communication challenges, sensory sensitivities, and repetitive behaviours.  This course highlights the importance of recognising these signs early and adapting environments to support children's needs.  Practical strategies are offered to help caregivers and educators promote positive interactions, build communication skills, and create inclusive settings that foster confidence in young autistic children.  Both sessions need to be attended to receive your course certificate.
