    Eligibility: This course is open to South Gloucestershire Early Years SENDCOs and Managers

    This SEND surgery is intended to equip delegates with an understanding of how to identify strengths, needs and differences under the four broad areas of need.  This will support when communicating with parents, other professionals and when completing paperwork.

    Learning outcomes

    As a result of this course, you will:

    • Feel confident in observing and identifying a child's strengths, needs and differences under the four areas of need.
    • Be able to complete paperwork that requires you to identify strengths and needs.
    • Understand the definition of a need versus a difference.
    • Be able to support the wider staff team in early identification.
