This two-hour face-to-face workshop provides practitioners with practical guidance and skills to confidently facilitate Family Network Meetings. The session focuses on each stage of the Family Network Meeting process, from preparation through to developing and agreeing a family-led plan. Practitioners will explore how to explain the purpose of a Family Network Meeting to children, young people and families in a clear and accessible way, helping participants understand what the meeting involves and what is expected of them. The workshop will cover meeting structure and agenda planning, agreeing ground rules, encouraging participation, managing discussions, and ensuring all voices are heard. Participants will also learn how to accurately record discussions and decisions, support family networks to identify strengths and solutions, and facilitate the development of clear and achievable plans. The workshop forms part of the wider Family Network Meeting learning pathway and supports practitioners to embed strengths-based and family-led practice in their day-to-day work.
