• Course overview

Eligibility: This course is open to year 6 teachers from any junior or primary school.

This 2.5 hour online training session supports year 6 teachers to make accurate, confident and nationally aligned judgements of writing at the end of Key Stage 2. Through national exemplification materials, benchmarked standardisation activities and professional discussion, delegates will explore what constitutes a secure judgement and strengthen confidence in applying the Teacher Assessment Framework.

Drawing on key messages from moderator training and national guidance, the course explores areas that commonly generate uncertainty and helps teachers develop greater consistency and accuracy in their assessments.

Suitable for both new and experienced Year 6 teachers, this course focuses solely on understanding and applying the standards for writing assessment.
