    Course overview

    Eligibility: This course is only open to primary and junior schools which have been selected for an LA KS2 Moderation Visit in June 2027.

    To support schools having a KS2 LA moderation visit we are once again running our KS2 Meet the Moderator sessions for schools. It is aimed at Year 6 teachers and members of SLT whose schools have been identified for a KS2 LA moderation visit in June 2027. The briefing will support you as a school to be prepared for your KS2 moderation visit.

    Schools who have attended these in the past have found them invaluable. At this meeting, we will share the guidance in more detail, discuss what to expect and explain how you can prepare effectively for your visit. You will also be able to ask any questions and meet the moderation team in person.

    The briefing will be led by the KS2 Moderation manager and members of the KS2 moderation team.

    Please note that only schools having a moderation visit can book onto this briefing. So please do not book any places before 14 May 2027. Please also ensure that you book all delegates who will be attending the briefing onto the course. 

    Please book your place onto the face to face session - the online session is for those who are unable to make the face to face date and will only have the KS2 moderation manager in attendance.

     

    Learning outcomes

    The aims of this course are:

    • To support teachers and SLT to be prepared for a moderation visit.
    • To explain to teachers and SLT the process of a moderation visit.
    • To explain what happens after a moderation in terms of data checking and re moderation.
    • To have time to ask questions and discuss issues.

    The charge for this course or event is: £0.  Please ensure you book all attending delates a place on this course.

    If this course has a cost for your school and a booking is made, we will charge via school statements or invoicing in the usual way. However, once GovPay goes live on the site in the next few months you will be asked to pay upon sign up, using a credit or debit card.
