• Course overview

    Eligibility: This course is open to reception and nursery class teachers in South Gloucestershire schools only. 

    These three, hour long, online briefing sessions will provide school based EYFS staff with the latest local and national updates as well as provide information about what support you can access in school. 

    Each session will be tailored to reflect current developments and research, providing staff with all the information they will need to know to continue to reflect and develop on their provision and practice.

    Learning outcomes

    As a result of this course you will have knowledge and skills in the following areas:

    • EYFS statutory and non-statutory guidance, including recent updates from DfE and Ofsted.
    • South Gloucestershire Early Years Team support offer.
    • Criteria, applications and processes for Early Years Inclusion Support and Transition Support Funding for children with SEND.
    • EYFS leadership and management.
    • Supporting your staff teams.
    • Curriculum, provision and assessment.

     

    Charges

    There is a charge of £0 per delegate for this course.  South Gloucestershire schools and school nurseries only.

    If this course has a cost for your setting and a booking is made before 1st September 2026, we will contact you in early September to request payment.  From 1st September 2026 you will be asked to pay via GovPay upon sign up, using a credit or debit card.
