• Course overview

    Eligibility: This course is open to South Gloucestershire Early Years Childminders, Nursery and preschool practitioners. 

    This is a 2 hour session is designed specifically as a safeguarding refresher for safeguarding leads.

    This course aims to deliver essential updates relevant to early years safeguarding practices.

    Throughout this session, attendees will receive key updates and have opportunities for discussion regarding the current local context. The session will cover the latest safeguarding guidance, enabling participants to stay up to date with any changes or new requirements. In addition, the session will provide a forum to share learning derived from recent child safeguarding practice reviews, supporting ongoing professional development and the application of best practices within settings.

    PLEASE NOTE: You only need to attend one of the sessions.

    • Update knowledge of current safeguarding guidance relevant to early years settings
    • Identify and understand recent changes or new requirements in safeguarding practice
    • Discuss local safeguarding issues and contextual developments
