Eligibility: This course is only open to Y6 teachers and SLT of South Gloucestershire schools selected for a KS2 local authority moderation visit.
This 90‑minute after‑school briefing supports schools selected for a KS2 local authority moderation visit in June 2026. Aimed at Year 6 teachers and SLT, the session provides clear guidance on what to expect from the moderation process and how to prepare effectively.
The briefing will summarise statutory requirements, outline the stages of a moderation visit, and highlight the evidence moderators will review. Delegates at the face to face session will also meet their allocated moderator and have the opportunity to ask questions in advance of their visit.
An online alternative one hour morning session is available on 22 May for schools unable to attend the face‑to‑face session on Wednesday 20 May 2026.
The sessions will be led by the KS2 Moderation Manager, Stephanie Hilder.
Please note that only schools selected for a moderation visit may book a place. Schools will be informed of their selection on Friday 15 May; please do not book before this date. Please email ststraining@southglos.gov.uk with the names and email addresses of of your delegates as bookings cannot be taken via the hub in this instance. All delegates must be booked individually so that venue capacity and health and safety requirements can be confirmed.

· Communicating confidently with your assigned moderator and addressing questions or issues for your context.
