    Eligibility: This course is open to business managers and finance staff from any South Gloucestershire maintained schools only.

    This two hour course delivered via Teams, will take you through the process of running a Management Report in AEF as either an alternative to the Budget Monitoring Snapshot in Access Budgeting, or as an interim report.

    Regular monitoring of the budget is essential for ensuring spending and income are on track, to identify any underspends or overspends which then gives you the opportunity to readjust your overall financial position. 

    In this session we will take you through:

    • Updating Access Budgeting with staffing changes
    • The importance of regular financial housekeeping
    • Running the Management Report in AEF
    • Adding additional commitments or adjustments
    • Adding notes
    • Interpreting the figures


    Learning outcomes

    As a result of this course, you will have knowledge and skills in the following areas:

    • Knowledge and skills to complete the process of running a Management report in AEF
    • Confidence in interpreting the figures and reporting to Governors
