    Eligibility: This course is open to business managers and finance staff from any infant, junior, primary or secondary school.

    This is a short one-hour bitesize course delivered via Teams that will take you through the process of creating and maintaining a contracts register.

    A contracts register is a central record of all the contracts and service agreements a school holds — from cleaning, catering and ICT support to maintenance, and professional services. It shows key information such as start and end dates, renewal deadlines, contract values, notice periods, the contract owner, and supplier details.

    In this one hour session we will cover:

    • Why a Contracts Register is important in schools
    • What should be included
    • Demonstrate how to create and maintain one using a template created by schools finance

    As a result of this course, you will have knowledge and skills in the following areas:

    • Understand why a contract register is important in strengthening financial control
    • What to include in your contracts register
    • Why it is important that it is reviewed regularly

    Charges

    The charge for this course or event is: £35 for South Gloucestershire Maintained Schools and £50 for all other schools.
