Eligibility: This course is open to those who would like to develop, set up and deliver Forest School Programmes and become a qualified Forest School Leader.
Through a combination of practical outdoor learning and indoor teaching, you will explore the benefits for children as child led learners for lifelong skills and follow a person-centred approach. The course includes 6 face-to-face training sessions, 2 skills assessment days to complete a portfolio of work, tutorial and ongoing support, in person practical work-based assessment, access to Cambium Sustainable Support Moodle with resources and information. The course equates to 70 hours of taught time and requires, on average, a further 110 hours of self-study time. You must attend all sessions.

When you sign up for this course, for the time being, payment of course fees will be made in the usual way, through the South Gloucestershire Council website. Go to www.southglos.gov.uk and click on Pay, then Pay Online. Scroll down to Other Payments. You will then see an option to choose Early Years Training. Select your course from the drop down list and follow the instructions to make payment. You will receive an automated email confirming your payment. If payment has not been made 7 days prior to the start date your place will be cancelled.
