Eligibility: This course is open to everyone from any organisation working with children and families in South Gloucestershire.
This is a one day in person multi-agency course commissioned by South Gloucestershire Children’s Partnership. Professionals from any organisation can attend.
The course will explore Serious Youth Violence (SYV), what it is and why it occurs. It will draw on national and local learning and will aim to equip practitioners with resources to use and approaches to take with children and young people in South Gloucestershire. The course will explore interlinked themes, including school exclusion, additional needs and intersectionality and the importance of our use of language when working with serious youth violence. Throughout this learning event you will consider risk factors that may contribute to Serious Youth Violence.

The charge for this course is £115. However if your organisation financially contributes to the Children’s Partnership you will be entitled to a fully funded place. Fully funded places may be subject to a non-attendance or late cancellation fee.
