Eligibility: This course is open to South Gloucestershire Early Years Leaders, Managers and Pre-School Committee Members
This in-person half day session will help you to understand full how to recruit and induct new staff. We will fully explore and new changes to the EYFS around safer recruitment and the possible changes that you will need to make to your current processes. There will be an opportunity to review current paperwork, application forms, job descriptions and person specifications, health declarations and reference request forms. We will provide practical guidance and tips on writing appropriate interview questions and effective interviewing techniques. This course will provide an opportunity for you to network with other settings and share ideas and good practice.
When you sign up for this course, for the time being, payment of course fees will be made in the usual way, through the South Gloucestershire Council website. Go to www.southglos.gov.uk and click on Pay, then Pay Online. Scroll down to Other Payments. You will then see an option to choose Early Years Training. Select your course from the drop down list and follow the instructions to make payment. You will receive an automated email confirming your payment. If payment has not been made 7 days prior to the start date your place will be cancelled.
