    Eligibility: This course is open to all social care professionals

    This course is ideal for Social Care and Occupational Therapy Practitioners who work directly with individuals in need of care and support. Delivered over two half-days, it provides a thorough understanding of the Care Act 2014, its principles, and duties. Participants will explore the implications of the Care Act, including the wellbeing principle and both general and specific duties. The course covers strategies to prevent, delay, or reduce care needs through information and advice, and examines the role of independent advocacy.

    Additionally, it addresses safeguarding adults, assessments of needs, carers' assessments, and eligibility determination, guiding participants through an individual's journey within the reform system. This engaging and comprehensive course promises to enhance your expertise in applying the Care Act 2014 in professional practice.
