    Eligibility: This e-module is exclusively for South Gloucestershire Council staff.

    Recruitment is an essential skill for managers. At best this skill helps you get the right person into post. However, get this wrong and it could lead to legal action against the council, recruiting a poor performer, or someone who starts and leaves quickly. These negative outcomes will take you far more time to manage than getting recruitment right in the first place. This e-module is for all South Gloucestershire Council managers who are involved in the recruitment and induction of staff. It takes you through the process from advertising and shortlisting, to interview and selection, and onboarding and induction, and includes a range of learning activities to keep you engaged. We intend to help you understand what you need to do to get recruitment right and avoid any pitfalls. It will take approximately two hours to complete. This e-module is a pre-requisite to the one-day Recruitment, Onboarding and Induction course, which all hiring managers are expected to attend.
