This course, commissioned by the South Gloucestershire Safeguarding Adults Board, is designed for practitioners and managers from all organisations working with adults in South Gloucestershire.

Safeguarding Adults is a fundamental aspect of effective practice within social and healthcare settings. The role of a manager or practitioner in making sure that staff respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns is crucial.

This session will equip you with the necessary knowledge and understanding of your own and others’ responsibilities in safeguarding adults, so that you can respond appropriately when concerns are identified.

The course will cover key areas, including making informed decisions about undertaking a Section 42 adult safeguarding enquiry, as well as best practice approaches to making safeguarding personal and promoting wellbeing.

By the end of this session, you will have a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and be better prepared to ensure the safety and wellbeing of adults in your care.
