• Course overview

Eligibility: This course is open to South Gloucestershire Council managers only.

Managing team performance is a crucial yet challenging task for managers and is one of the core management skills. This course covers the main policies and practices connected with managing your team’s performance and resolving issues informally before behaviour escalated. We understand providing feedback or addressing poor performance can be daunting at first. This course offers a supportive space to explore everything you need to know and ask questions to ensure you're on the right track.

We explore types of performance issues, consider policy, discuss case studies and signpost to further information and support to make sure that you are managing effectively. This session promotes positive performance management and outlines steps to prevent future poor performance. We highly recommend all managers attend, regardless of whether they are currently managing poor performance.

This course covers best management practices in an interactive setting where managers can learn from each other's experiences and receive HR advice on current issues. Join us to enhance your management skills and foster a positive, productive work environment.
