This half-day course serves as an annual refresher for Occupational Therapy Assistants working in adult social care settings, where they are responsible for moving people. It is designed to build on your existing knowledge and practice. Delegates will be expected to demonstrate their techniques for moving people and share their knowledge through scenario-based activities.
It is also open to practitioners from external care providers. Delegates from partner agencies must provide evidence of having attended a manual handling course within the previous 18 months.
Please ensure you wear suitable clothing and footwear, as there is a practical component to this training.

The charge for the course is £57.00, however you may be entitled to a reduced rate, or fully funded place depending on what organisation you work for.
