• Course overview

Eligibility: This course is open to South Gloucestershire Council employees only.

This session is not a substitute for the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion e-modules and face-to-face training. While it reviews what it means to be an equality-focused council and the Equality Act 2010, its primary focus is on identifying unacceptable behaviour in the workplace, understanding why it needs to be challenged, how to address it, and our responsibility as South Gloucestershire Council employees to escalate issues when necessary. By the end of the session, you will understand the differences between stereotyping, bullying, discrimination, and harassment, and why these behaviours are unacceptable in the workplace. You will gain tools to engage in meaningful conversations about unacceptable behaviour and know when and how to escalate such issues, supported by our policies and processes.
