Raising Safeguarding Concerns - Adults
Eligibility: This course is open to practitoners involved in safegarding adults.
This half day course is essential training for front-line practitioners who work with and provide services to adults at risk. It will equip participants with an understanding of what safeguarding adults is, recognising an adult at risk, and how to take relevant action.
Recognising and Responding to Organisational Abuse and Neglect
Eligibility: This course is for staff or managers who carry out reviews in any organisation
This course is for anyone who leads and/or reviews partner organisations and has attended the Raising Safeguarding Concerns course. It will help you understand and be accountable for managing and preventing organisational abuse in services.
Risk Outside the Home Multi-Agency Training ;
Eligibility: This course is open to everyone from any organisation working with children and families in South Gloucestershire.
This course explores various Risks Outside the Home (ROTH) for children, covering legislation, case studies, and practical tools. It replaces three previous exploitation courses and includes insights from local and national safeguarding practices.
Safeguarding Children Who Are Disabled
Eligibility: This course is open to everyone from any organisation working with disabled children in South Gloucestershire.
This one-day course uses a variety of activities including case study work and insights from Safeguarding Practice Reviews. It provides practitioners with the time and space needed to explore the many safeguarding needs of this particular group of children.
Serious Youth Violence
Eligibility: This course is open to everyone from any organisation working with children and families in South Gloucestershire.
This one day course examines Serious Youth Violence, its causes, and related themes like exclusion, additional needs, and language use. Practitioners will gain resources and strategies to address risks affecting young people in South Gloucestershire.
Train The Trainer- Adult Safeguarding
Professionals from agencies working with adults in South Gloucestershire.
This brand new one day event commissioned by the Safeguarding Adults Board is a train the trainer programme for organisations who wish to deliver awareness raining training to their own staff. The course is open to any organisations who work with adults in South Gloucestershire.
