Eligibility: This course is open to foster carers.
This course will guide you through a range of topics related to fire safety, including: • Understanding fire risks: Learn about common fire hazards in the home and how to identify them. • Preventive measures: Discover practical steps to prevent fires, including safe cooking practices, proper use of electrical appliances, and the importance of smoke alarms. • Emergency preparedness: Develop an emergency plan tailored to your home and family. Learn how to conduct fire drills and ensure everyone knows what to do in case of a fire. • Fire safety equipment: Get familiar with fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire blankets, and escape ladders, and learn how to use them effectively. This training provides foster carers with the confidence and knowledge to create a safe living environment.
