Eligibility: This course is open to foster carers.
This course will guide you through a range of topics related to fire safety, including: • Understanding fire risks: Learn about common fire hazards in the home and how to identify them. • Preventive measures: Discover practical steps to prevent fires, including safe cooking practices, proper use of electrical appliances, and the importance of smoke alarms. • Emergency preparedness: Develop an emergency plan tailored to your home and family. Learn how to conduct fire drills and ensure everyone knows what to do in case of a fire. • Fire safety equipment: Get familiar with fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire blankets, and escape ladders, and learn how to use them effectively.
