Eligibility: This course is open to foster carers
This training provides an introduction to attachment theory and its significance in infant development. Participants will learn about the impact of attachment experiences and trauma on brain development and child behaviour. The course covers different attachment styles and offers strategies for understanding and managing complex emotions and behaviours, such as control issues, pervasive shame, and extreme anger. The course will explore attachment theory and its significance, exploring the effects of trauma on development and different attachment styles. Participants will gain insights into understanding and responding to complex behaviours, managing family dynamics, and ensuring self-care for carers. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills to support the emotional health of children in their care and improve their own well-being.
