Eligibility: This course is open to male foster carers

This support group, led by Chris Hill (Foster Carer Development and Training Officer), is designed to provide male carers with a dedicated space to connect and share experiences. We understand that fostering can be challenging, and sometimes the only people who truly understand are other male carers. This group offers a place for open and honest discussions. The aim of these support groups is to allow male carers to connect with each other, providing a supportive environment to discuss the unique challenges they face. While the meetings are informal, sessions may include a brief agenda, attendance list, and agreed group rules. This structure helps newcomers feel comfortable and ensures everyone feels included. Occasionally, there will be guest speakers and topics chosen by the group to keep the sessions relevant and engaging. These sessions should be recorded on your Personal Development Plan (PDP).
