Eligibility: This course is open to Foster Carers
The Care Discussion Group with Jackie Dyer is designed to provide foster carers with a supportive environment to connect and share experiences. Please note that from 6pm to 6.30pm, the group is exclusively for "Share for Share the Care" participants. From 6.30pm onwards, all carers are welcome to join. We understand that fostering can be challenging, and sometimes the only people who truly understand are other foster carers. These support groups offer a dedicated time and place for you to meet up, enjoy biscuits, cake, coffee, and tea, and engage in informal chats. While the meetings are informal, each session will have a brief agenda, attendance list, and agreed group rules. This structure helps newcomers feel included and ensures no one is left on the side-lines. Occasionally, there will be guest speakers and topics chosen by the group to keep the sessions relevant and engaging. These sessions should be recorded on your Personal Development Plan (PDP).
