    ITD induction session

We have introduced a new IT Induction session which aims to highlight common tools used by all staff to identify any IT related skills gaps and to encourage people to book onto relevant training to make the most of the Microsoft products, as well as any hardware or software, that we use in the council.

It is not mandatory for all new starters to attend, but managers should discuss this with new staff during their induction period.  People join us with varied levels of IT skills and knowledge and the IT Induction will give the ideal opportunity to commence any required IT related skills development.

Some examples of areas that we can assist you with include:-

    •  Helping users understand the different Microsoft products that we use, such as Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, Forms, and SharePoint
    • Assisting in the set-up of work supplied mobile phones and helping you get the most out of it, or looking at setting up your own personal iPhone or Android as part of the Bring Your Own Device policy in order to access work resources on there, and save you carrying around another device!
    • Looking at ways you can better access your work through making adjustments to your system through the various accessibility options available to us
    • Helping with queries relating to Mosaic, and working with you to best understand how to use the system

This is just a short list of examples - if you have any IT training requests, just ask us and we might be able to help! Whether it's a group session, or you would like a one-to-one session, just let us know! To learn how to send through a request, check out this link here:- Make an IT Training Request
