• Course overview


    Eligibility: This e-module is for people working with vulnerable adults and children and is mandatory for all South Gloucestershire Council staff.

    This e-module is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and confidence to support children, young people, and their families who may benefit from Early Help interventions. Through practical guidance and real-world scenarios, learners will deepen their understanding of how to identify and respond to signs of abuse and unsafe practices.

    By the end of this module, you will be able to:

    • Recognise indicators of abuse in children, young people, and adults.
    • Respond appropriately to suspected or disclosed abuse.
    • Support children who have experienced sexual abuse with sensitivity and care.
    • Communicate effectively and safely with children who have been abused.
    • Identify and report unsafe practices in line with safeguarding protocols.

    To complete the e-module, learners must complete all lessons and achieve a minimum score of 75% in the final assessment. Multiple attempts are allowed to complete the assessment.
