• Course overview

Eligibility: This course is for non-qualified practice supervisors due to work with Social Work students

We will begin the day learning about who our students are and the learning needs they bring to placement. We will share with you the Practice Education professional standards set by BASW. We will consider induction and how to prepare this for a student. We will talk to you about the format of the placement and the placement requirements and share with you the requirements that the students need to achieve. We will work through as a group how we maximise accessibility to learning for students and also guide you in how you contribute to the assessment of the student.
