    Eligibility: This course is open to everyone working in social care.

    This reflective practice session is for anyone who has attended the Learning Session on Disabilities. It is expected that attendees will share their learning with their teams.

    The learning in these sessions will be through discourse and collaboration, and it is expected that participants will have, have previously had, or will be taking on cases that relate to this theme.

    The session will enable facilitated reflection to help you to think about how your practice with people you support, and your work with colleagues, can be developed and how you can continue to demonstrate allyship with people with disabilities.

    You will have the opportunity to use reflective tools in group discussions with colleagues from adults and children’s services.

    Learning outcomes

    As a result of this course, you will:

    • To be able to use tools to help aid critical reflection around anti discriminatory practice.
    • To gain knowledge from peers about specific case examples and experience of working with people with disabilities.
    • To have considered learning from the learning session, and reflected how this learning has been put into practice.
    • To commit to actions to take into your future practice.
