    Eligibility: This course is open to foster carers

    This session supports participants in learning and developing resilience strategies and tools for themselves and the children and young people they work with. Resilience is the ability to adapt and recover from adversity or stress. Building resilience involves fostering positive relationships, developing problem-solving skills, and maintaining a hopeful outlook. Resilience strategies include promoting self-care, encouraging a growth mindset, and teaching coping mechanisms. Helpful tools might involve mindfulness practices, stress management techniques, and resources for emotional support. Additionally, the session will provide signposting to further support, ensuring participants have access to additional resources and guidance. By understanding and implementing these strategies and tools, participants can better support their own well-being and that of the children and young people they work with.
