This e-module will deepen your understanding of the Armed Forces Covenant and the Covenant Duty. You’ll gain valuable insight into Service life and culture, and the unique obligations and sacrifices made by those who serve, as well as their families. The course explains the principles behind the Covenant and the responsibilities introduced by the Covenant Duty, particularly in the areas of education, housing, and healthcare. It also outlines what staff need to know and do to provide meaningful support and offers practical sources of information that can be used directly in your role or shared with members of the Armed Forces Community.
By the end of this module, you will have a clearer understanding of how the Covenant and Covenant Duty apply in practice, be better prepared to support your organisation in implementing them effectively and be empowered to improve the services and support available to the Armed Forces Community. This training is relevant for anyone working in a public sector organisation particularly those in customer-facing roles. It builds on the induction e-module developed by Warwickshire County Council and assumes that learners have already completed that initial training.South Gloucestershire Council Learning and Development Services © 2024 All rights reserved
